I just bought over the weekend a 1957 GMC truck with a 1959 fleetside bed. It was a started project that the person didn't have time for anymore and it came with tons of misc. stuff. Among that stuff is a bench seat that is obviously out of a car. After further inspection it has a nicer plastic back with an ash tray that flips out in the middle. Could anyone tell me what car it may have came out of? (I know I'm not giving you a lot!) It's width is perfect for the truck but it wasn't bolted down or anything. Could it be out of a tri-five car? And is it common to adapt an older car bench like this to a truck or should I just try and find a truck seat?
Thanks.
