To use an older intake you need only change the angle of the two center holes on either side. You can do this by using a 7/16" drill bit to and enlongate the holes. I would add a washer under the bolt here to help pull the intake down evenly. If your going to buy an aftermarket manifold then the Edelbrock is the way to go. Good luck.
