10 years ago when I repowered my 50 1 ton chevy with a V8 auto, I used a air cond condenser for a trans cooler, although I did"nt know how hot the trans fluid got I did drive it cross country with a full load and used it as a daily driver for 3 years with no trans problems while using the stock radiator the whole time. I"v searched the net and have"nt heard of anyone who"s cooled a trans with a ac condenser.... mabey there"s a good reason or mabey I"m just a cheap but crafty old sob! any thoughts?
