I don't know all the answer, but I'm sure it would help if we knew if you have a 6 or v8?

Manual Transmissions were basicly the same from 55 2d until 59. They share the same bolt pattern thru the 60s at least, and I 'think' length may be the same.

In my experience, the hardest part of this swap is the clutch linkage. You will need every part of this, pedal to clutch. It really helps if you take one off a donor so you know how it all goes together.

Your automatic truck, if original, will have the highest rear end gearset available for that year.
