Found some
rust outs in the lower cowl. Pretty typical.
Decided to attempt my first ever weld
repair. On the lower cowl and inner kick panel
Took me forever because basically I didn’t know what I was doing and was learning as I went.
Got all the new metal in and was pretty happy with the
results.

Later when reassembling the truck I realized the contour on the repair panel was off
