And guys (and gals), no one else has an "ingeniuos modification" story to tell?? I was kind of expecting glory stories of duct tape, tie wire and red baling string, but okay....

Here's another one from my '37 hick truck. The mud flaps are a canvas belting material. It is mining country, so I figure it's probably some old belting.
