On a 1955-2nd series or newer engine, you would want a 1955-1st series or older water pump for use with the relocation plate.
Ok - my replacement 235 block (3836233) translates to 1955 - 1957. I have the 54/55 Head (3835913) This would then classify as 2nd series engine, correct? If thats the case I'm looking for a 1955-1st series or older water pump for use with the relocation plate. The pump on my 216 would work in this case if it wasn't leaking.
Overall - I'm looking for a 55 1st series pump.
