While Dave gave the quick/clear reply, I was posting a long-winded reply about the probe and fitting (with irrelevant information about Blue Flame engines). I deleted that post and have a few photos and a few questions for Dave.
Here is a 1954 temperature probe installed in an adapter fitting installed in a 1960 head.
My question for Dave is: at what locations are leaks possible (and which area seems to be where Carey has a leak)?
