I recently was promoted and transferred to Ohio. I have been waiting to move all of my bolt's to Ohio until the Kansas house sells so that I can use the extra money to build a barn for the bolts to reside in. So for this summer's vacation I am back in Kansas working on the bolts and spending some time driving them. Of course if you see the Weather Channel you will notice that Kansas, particularly northeast kansas has been steady at 100'F plus. So I have been enjoying the shade of the area under my 4400 servicing the brakes. I was not sure what to expect because I could add fluid and bleed, but I would lose all of the fluid in a matter of hours. Turns out the driver's side rear cylinder seals are shot, but the others are not bad. For good measure I have been rebuilding each of them since rebuild kits are cheap, and my FLAPS stocks them. My 4400 is a grain truck, so there is plenty of shade from the wood bedsides. I probably will only nurse it around because some of the tires are in need of replacement. I also worked on the original self cancelling turn signal set and got them working. I am going to investigate tires at the local COOP machine shop. they put some new tires on my brothers 3800(7.00 X 18) fairly reasonably. I will post the part numbers tonight for the wheel cylinder kits. I have also cleaned and repacked the wheel bearings since I had the hubs apart.

Thought I would share. I love to drive these trucks. I will post some pics tomorrow. I will also say that I can see why the triangle vent windows are so popular. My brother has them in his 53 3800. they really make the cab breathe.
