I just posted a similar question, and the answers led me to my local John Deere dealer, who sold me a few tubes for 3.45 apiece. The counterman enthusiastically supported my use (56 GMC 3/4 ton steering gearbox). The grease is for farm corn harvesting machinery, and the corn head has a low speed gearbox. The stuff is like jello when standing and gets runnier when the gears move and heat is generated, apparently.
Well, my time went so quickly, I went lickety-splitly Out to my ol' 55. As I pulled away slowly, Feelin' so holy, God knows, I was feelin' alive..... Tom Waits, Ol' 55
