Hy dalyman72, you set your intitial timing at idle with the vacuum disconnected, then when you connect up your vacuum advance it will either advance it further [manifold vacuum] or do nothing until the throttle is opened up [ported vacuum]. Which vacuum source did the instructions say to use?
