For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 21 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 21 | I read some of the posts on replacing the wood floor of an A/D Suburban (frame on)and recently took on the challenge with my '50. I have completely removed the dry rotted floor (in 2 pieces) without cutting the spot welded trim pieces that secure the floor from the top. I hope to reinstall a new wood floor in the same manner using a lap joint. I figure that I can slide two pieces of plywood back in place with a mitered 6" lap joint that is offset lengthwise. Made it easier to get to the fuel tank for cleaning and sealing. Anyone got a good source for sending units? | | |
