For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 11 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Mar 2011 Posts: 11 | I've replaced my front axle with one from a 1990 K5 (same on rear). I bought my 62 without a front driveshaft and am searching for one. Trying to just get the front shaft length (51") correct, I can get the ends to match the K5 and the Rockwell transfer case, but I'm running out of places to find the shaft. Can I use a rear driveshaft on the front, if I get the length right? or? The book says the K5 front shaft is 16", so that isn't gonna work, so not sure where to find/what to look for.
Working on 62 4x4 C10 I traded for, replaced axles, now on steering column and brakes.
