As a new owner of a 1952 3100 pickup, I would like to do as many of you and keep a few spares on the shelf just in case. Although the Carter YF carb on the 1961 235 engine in the truck is working great, it would be nice to have a backup unit.
I crawled all over the engine compartment yesterday with the flashlight looking for the id number. Finally found a "92" stamped (not cast) on the edge of the mounting flange but I can't find this number reference. Since my engine is a hybrid of parts, I doubt if the carb is also a 1961 part and may not even be a GM unit. I would appreciate any help in figuring out where the carb came from so I can search for another one..
