It sounds as if your truck has been converted to the modern style
drag link. If so, you'll need to use a little force to separate it. I use a
pickle fork . But if your squeamish about pounding on your parts (and I wouldn't blame you), then a
press type is also available. You can usually borrow these tools from your FLAPS.
