Replacing...I wanted to replace from outset...but found out recently that they do not make wheel cylinders for my truck anymore. I found one out of 12 wheel cylinders that wasn't metric. All the others were metric and the bleeder is too short to work.
(No, there are no replacements that are longer, I spent two days looking)
So my result was to modify the screw part of brake hose by taking some of the round of the edge. I had to do the same to a wrench to make the round part thinner to fit.
(Oh, about the old ones, I finally looked yesterday and got a hone...but mine are so pitted as to be worthless.)
