You are right about the different sizes. 9.5" being for car & maybe 1/2ton truck. I used a clutch set off a 1ton 216 on my 235(to keep stomp starter) and I believe it was 11". Make sure you have matching flywheel, pressure plate, & clutch. The bigger clutch requires wider bolt spacing on flywheel.
I used the bigger clutch because I had it & I plan to use my truck to haul stuff. Like engines, tools, car parts, motorcycles, & move everything I own across 2 states. If you don't plan on a lot of hauling, the 9.5" would probably be better for you. Maybe smoother engagement. Search Hayes clutches. That should do you.
