Just finished installing my rebuilt 235 back into my truck.....everything dynamically balanced and fitted. New everything!!! I was PUMPED! First trip out after my installation was just a couple bubbles short of a disaster!!!! I had a VIBRATION that shook the entire truck!!!!! Now this wasn't present on my old engine...smooth as silk!

To make a long story short.....after checking EVERYTHING....I ended up at the FRONT (new) motor mount. There are a couple sentences in the assembly manual (section 6-13) that casually mention MAINTAINING MOUNT PLATE CLEARANCES. Too bad I hadn't bothered to read this little section BEFORE I torqued them down!!!!

Backed them off, reinstalled the cotter pins and the VIBRATION IS GONE! Had never run into this problem with conventional dual front mounts but wanted to share my "goof" so that others might avoid this annoying problem. Hope this saves someone else from this situation.
