The motor is a '62 or earlier isn't it. The early cast-iron Powerglide was used on both the Stovebolt six and the V-8's and had an adapter plate. When the aluminum case 'glide came out they no longer used the adapter and the transmission bolted directly to the motor.

It should bolt up fine.
