So I am doing the 235 engine conversion on my '51 3100. The 235 is out of a '55 second generation. I purchased the water pump conversion plate and new water pump. Instructions on the pump conv. plate indicate I need a harmonic balancer from a '53 or '54 so pump and fan will run at the proper speed. Both my generator and new water pump have 3/8" belt fittings. I have an old harmonic on my 216 but that is 5/8". Any sources for a new or used harmonic balancer or do i just return the pump and plate and go with the new short shaft water pump??
