Hello Bolters,

I was under my truck the other day installing a new starter when I remembered I had a new gasket set for my oil pan. So of course I thought to change that while I was under there. My engine is a 1964 230 Straight Six. I cleaned up the oil pan and went to install the new gasket. When I got to the front rubber seal I noticed it did not have all the bolt holes to match the oil pan. Felpro's instructions said this was the "new" version and did not require the extra bolts. I scratched my head and went with the instructions. Bolted everything back in place, filled her up and did not see any leaks. Ran the engine a few times. looked good. I then drove it to work all excited about the work I had done. Then on the way home I could see my oil pressure dropping and the engine noise increasing. I nursed her back home and found oil all over the place and looks like the front seal ..well did not. Has anyone undergone this situation? Did you get a new set, one with the holes? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
