I am rebuilding a 38 Master and it has single acting shocks. I found a place called Chassis Engineering that makes a bolt on kit with regular shocks, for the front. I bought the kit and it was really reasonable.
Chassis Engineering I think they list the kit for the car but the truck may be similar. You may want to have a look at their web page.
