Ran into an issue this weekend with some new speed bleeders. The guy at the FLAPS said...'yup thos'll work'. I asked...'even if they are shorter than this here original part?'. He said...'yup'
Well it didn't and turned into a grand fiasco when I realized that the bleeder was too short for my ratchet to reach once halfway in and couldn't get it out.
Ended up removing a rubber line (that will need to be replaced) and snapping a steel line (that will need to be replaced) while trying to get room to get the bleeder out.
So...this all leads to...are there speed bleeders that are extra long like the zerk I pulled off in the first place? These are close to two inches long, and the reason is to povide clearance from the rubber brake line that screws in right underneath it.
