Were any part of the floorboards made of wood for 1940? The toeboard and floorboard from the firewall to the gas tank box is two pieces of plywood on my 1/2 ton. I'm thinking this was somebody's hack way of accommodating for the steering column swap, but I know they did use some wood here and there in really early cars and trucks.
And if not, is there a source for steel toeboard and floorboards? Thanks!
