First off, where did you put your voltmeter leads when you made your voltage check? Also where did you clip your charger when you charged the battery? If at the battery post read on. If not you might have a bad ground connection. This may take a few trys to get to the root cause. Start: Measure battery voltage and record. Remove neg. battery wire (ground) and measure and record. Charge battery without neg. wire attached overnight. It should now be above 12 volts. Place neg lead back on battery and quickly measure and record battery voltage. If below 12 volts, remove neg lead as there are problems down stream. Make all these voltage checks at the battery post. Let us know because if these check out correctly then its on to the charging system
