Newbie here. I have a 1950 3100 with a '57 235 and 4-speed manual tranny. The rear end seems a little too wide for the truck as the tires extend beyond the fenders but I'm not sure if it's due to the tires or the rear end itself (sorry, no pictures available). Does anyone have the width of the correct rear end and, if so, where do I measure from?
The only info I have at this moment is:
10 bolt. 6-lug rims. Casting numbers: GM36 BI84 14055251
I have not opened the rear end to count the teeth, yet. Plan to tomorrow.
My truck is at my brother's and I'm heading there tomorrow so I can get more details as needed then.
