The 1954 Truck Engineering Features manual shows plug wires just like the ones shown by Bill above (American Classic Parts - no right-angle ends).
However, many of the reproduction parts vendors sell
spark plug wires like these - no cover/insulation at the plug end and all with 90 degree plug ends. These were used in earlier years on trucks, through 1953? However, 1953 car engines show the covered ends as used on 1954 trucks.
