I had a friend who was experimenting with liquid Propane injection on a Chevy V-8 about 35 years ago. He was using a modified carburetor throttle body with solenoid-type injectors mounted into the intake manifold just below the throttle plates. I've seen that intake with a couple of inches of ice built up on it from the cooling effect of the Propane evaporating as it hit the airstream. He finally had to install a couple of small squirrel-cage electric blowers to pick up heat through a sheet metal duct surrounding the exhaust manifolds and blow it on the intake to keep the ice from locking up his throttle linkage. Propane evaporates at around -70 degrees Farinheit, so there's a massive cooling effect as it changes from a liquid to a gas.
