If the rings have rusted into the piston grooves, the penetrant should free them up. Then give it a hard run of a couple of hundred miles at highway speed, or as close to keeping up with traffic as the gear ratio will let you do. The smoke should clear up unless you've got extremely deep pits in the cylinders. Jerry
