noise suppression is invisible, it's inside the doors, behind the firewall pad, under the headliner, behind the seat - upholstery might help a bit, but not much .... most folks use something like the pricey DynaMat, or the foil covered bubble pak insulation or stuff from a builders supply like Peel N Seal
