My new purchase is supposed to have many new brake parts and I have no reason to doubt that. However, the park brake cables were not re-connected to the crossbar. There is a 3 inch gap between the clevis on the hub cable and the mounting point on the crossbar.
The triangular piece that slips on the crossbar is moveable, but I would think that changing that would be unnecessary. Surely the brakes would engage if it were possible to pull the cable 3 inches.
What am I missing? Thanks.
