That's one of the pleasures and challenges of driving an original vehicle. Properly maintained and adjusted the steering and brakes will work well.....for 1936. There's nothing you can do that I'm aware of to keep the stock set up and get modern performance. Driving my '38 with all of it's warts is more fun for me than turning it into a clone of something it's not. It's like driving a time machine. What you give up is the ability to day dream while driving. You must be aware of where you are and what's going on around you.
