Hi:
Let me start with this, HELP! 1949 model 3100 panel truck completely restored, but there is a problem. The hood that fit well before the restoration now does not
fit well at all, especially at the cowling. The hood was removed for the restoration, but it was not split apart. The hinges and spring mounts are original save for new bolts. Problem, the hood fits very poorly, especially where it makes up to the cowling, I tried loosing the hinges and the springs and moving the hood back so it sits more on the cowling, but the back end of the hood sits up in the air as if the springs are keeping the back up while the front is closed. How can I get it to fit tight to the cowling lacing, and fit well. Your help is greatly needed and appreciated. Question, are the hood coil springs made to fit on a particular side, and is there a left and right to them, and if installed on the wrong side will they create this problem?
God bless,
Dave
