(go figure) I could probably find one a few hours away in some of the yards but my guess is being from the Midwest they'll be just as rusted through as mine. I'll make the calls it is worth a try.
Achipmunk, my next move is to check with a few of the sheet metal contractors I know (HVAC ductwork companies) and see if one of their guys can fabricate something for me. I really want something that has the pressed impression for the dimmer switch that the original did. Maybe I'm being too picky, it's not like I'm doing everything totally original anyway. If not I can easily cut and bend something myself. It's the pressed in part that is hanging me up.
