As far as know, there are no '54/'55 1st dashes being reproduced.
That means boneyard, ebay, etc are your only choices to find one. The '54 dashes are notorious for rust out along the lower edge. The windhields leak and the water runs along the lower edge which is shaped like a shelf for the water to collect and rot away the sheet metal. All the Advanced Design truck dashes ('48-'55 1st) are welded to the cab. Removal of a complete dash is a challenge. If you have any sheet metal fabrication skills you'll be able to duplicate a lot of the dash, but the radio grille area will be a challenge even for the experienced. Good luck, don't give up hope!
If the dash is in as poor shape as you describe, chances are the rest of the truck is in poor shape too, especially if it's from New Jersey or the New England rust belt.
