It is the short brg & has a flat surface that contacts the fingers. This is strange. I have been putting clutches in chevy trucks for over 50 years & have never run into a problem like this. I have a long brg also but i havn't looked at it lately. I can take some photos tomorrow & e mail them if you like. I can't imagine Napa not selling a TO brg. by itself.
