Hi:
The battery is an "Optima" and as to good connections, yes they are clean and tight. The starter was bench checked last year and performed well. Two things: 1. what would you recommend for a good, high cranking amp battery, 2. Other than the battery and a possible short, what would be other things to consider. The 39 Chevy I had years ago had the same problem. Further, if any adjustments were to be made in the regulator what would you suggest in order to get the best charging rate. The regulator was also bench checked and found to be good!
