Larry - I had the same deal with my 1953 bench seat to clean out the mouse droppings and resolve some surface rust and broken springs. Ordered the springs at
www.diyupholsterysupply.com. To remove the surface rust made a particle board and Visqueen Plastic Box then soaked the springs in a deluted solution of Klean-Strip Phosphoric Prep and Etch(Home Depot). Then I pressure shot it with water - painted. Not sure on the cover material for your 59 Apache.
