123456789101112 Wrench Fetcher 1 Joined: Apr 2011 Posts: 181 Vacaville, CA	On the GMC inline blocks I've been working on the serial on the deck at the distributor base always had a prefix number. If it was a 228. it stated that in the first three numbers. Even the 450 and 503 had that system.
