A lot of the 60's carbs did come with the rod. But I am guessing you picked up a earlyer carb with no shaft. Do you got any Photos of the carb. The 50's carbs had clamp on air filters and did not have a stud.
austinaubinoe, I love the oil bath as well thats why I kept the oil bath housing. But as you know if oil bath were the best thing they would still be using it.
I did not cut mine or any thing and I still have the filter so I can drop in some oil and the old filter any time.
