Thanks for the comment. It has taken 6 years to get to that point and it should be done in a month. It took so long due to the actual time I have to work on the truck, about 3 hours a week, and money. I've learned the art of patience...
It is very easy to bolt up NAPCO running gear to a 2-wheel drive, just drill some holes for the t-case and t-case shifter, the rest is a bolt up affair. That is how they did it at the dealer and factory.
The engine is aftermarket, I was stupid to get rid of the straight 6. That was my biggest mistake in this project. Luckily, I know where the engine is and have an offer to buy it back. It will bolt right back in perfectly.
The original truck came from a guy in CA that had an electrical business. It had that huge rear bumper and those lights on the fenders. Not sure if those were options at the dealer or if they were aftermarket bolt-ons.
