Been using Gunk Carburetor Cleaner since I was a kid and that's back in the 50's and always keep a couple of gallons of it under the bench. Gunk is a Solder Seal product manufactured by Radiator Specialty Comp, pn. CC3K. Soak it, then wash it with hot soapy water with small tube brushes, rince and blow dry. Check your pasages by blowing brake cleaner in the pressurized can with the tube on it.
