Thanks everyone. In this case I just now was able to get the lower two waterpump bolts out using the Koil overnight, twist back and forth, more kroil out a bit more kroil, twist band an forth method. Oh and did I mention hold your breath, fingers crossed method!
They came out. looks like a couple outer threads were the issue. You can see how it had rust build up on them after the bolt was out.
In general this "old bolt" truck has been really good about not breaking bolts off. I have had cars with only 10 years on them that broke way more bolts. They just do not make them like they use to.
In fact I was really surprised to see how well the interior of my cab cleaned up with some sanding. Nice brite silver metal. I ecpected to find luts of rust but it was pretty clean except for a few of the normal spots on the step and around the cab mounts. But they cleaned up ok.
I think the fenders will present more issues with respect to rust. I will probably have to use some patch panels or a replacement fender on the front fneders.
Thanks for the sugestions. Will have to try the low powered air hammer idea in the future....
