For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 40 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2009 Posts: 40 | After many hours of trial and error, heating and hammering, my passenger side door (The problem door) fit's "ok". My main problem is the door sits too low, and everything is adjusted upward to the max. It opens and closes fine but the body lines are off 3/16 of an inch. Tonight I'm building up my door striker with weld to make the door latch better. I am now going to move to the driver side door which is much better fitting than my passenger side was. I will play with the driver side for a while while I brain storm about how to perfect my passenger side. I made a mistake when purchasing my new door hinges, I didn't need them. I didn't realize I had to bend my hinges so much, I guess you learn as you go along. Thanks for the advice everyone. | | |
