Hahahah, g'day Jock and thanks for your welcome...I think I have caught the same disease!

Yes I am going to keep the Commodore back end and Mitsubishi front end as they have already been engineered onto the pickup and will provide modern comforts and most of all modern breaking and suspension safety.

I have now gone through 3 (supposed) hot rod builds. The first was a 1953 Peugeot and when I received it, it was rusted out despite the guarantee there was no rust… live and learn.

I then bought a 1950 Morris Minor table top to discover I was too tall to fit in one so I bought a two door Morri which is 4” bigger in the doors so I was going to cut the two cars up and join to make a king cab. Well that took for ever and after some discussion with my wife Dana it was decided I should sell the Morri project and get something already hotrodded so that our yard would look somewhat respectable.

Next thing you know I found this awesome 1938 Chevy and it’s on all over again. HAHAHA This time it is only one vehicle and I set aside two nights and one day every second weekend to progress it and doing it in such a way that our place looks tidy and not a junk yard. Game on!!!

Anyhow, thank you for you post and info on the forum. I will put up pics and history of the car soon as I find out how and time avails.
