some places have black plastic knobs as replacement for the headlight switch [without the shaft] which can be adapted for other positions - everybody carries the black knob vent, choke and throttle cables - the original black heater fan knob is hens teeth, as are the black 'blank out' heads - the original chrome knobs were metal, the repros I've seen are plastic
