I had the same problem when I rebuilt mine ,I ground just a little of the sharp edge off the inside cup were the ball had to go in than I used a C clamp to pop it in.If you look at the old one you'll see the new one comes to a point on both sides where they ground the ball out and the old ones are dressed at the cup where the ball goes in .
