No I didn't take any pictures of my work, but that washer will slide off the end of the shaft as you pull the glass up. It isn't attached to the shaft but only held in place by being pulled against the round portion of the shaft by the spring tension. It might be that it has been on there so long that you will have to tap it down lightly to break it free. Once you get it off you see that the washer is cut to match the end of the shaft with the two flats. I also had to drill out a rivet at the top and two at the bottom to remove the vertical portion of the frame (window channel) from the vent window frame so that I could get the new seal into the frame.
