What is the engine serial number on your engine? It is the code stamped into the ledge in the block just to the rear of where the distributor goes into the block,
There are several differences between first and second series truck engines. And, as noted above, the car engines had other differences compared to truck engines (some car engines had hydraulic lifters, for example).
Once your engine is IDed, better advice can be given on which Shop Manual you should look for.
