I had a fatherinlaw, he's dead and gone now, who taught me the most valuable lesson about mechanicing and working on trucks. He said "If you don't try you won't learn anything and if you do and f--k it up then you'll be much the wiser". Go for it. Look at what you want to take out and do it. Good luck and have fun.
